MakeUp & Fashion : Fall Inspiration

Guess what I grabbed today ?

InStyle – Special Anniversary Issue.

I have to say, InStyle is not my favorite ( I have a strong preference for Dazed ) but it was there, I was bored and I ended up finding some cool new stuff inside.

Since it is a special issue, they also included a Hand Cream from a brand called NEAL’S YARD REMEDIES. I had never heard of the brand before so I had to do my research but I will come back to it in a little bit.

I often read magazines before I go shopping. Yes, it is very cliché but it does help if you easily get overwhelmed.

I always get so distracted when I go shopping and end up never buying anything.

Buying two or three magazines first helps me collect my thoughts and it has become my pre-shopping ritual.

The pictures below summarized what interested me the most. I am not a fashion icon or fashion blogger. I appreciate fashion and beautiful clothes. Please don’t take what I say too seriously, my goal is not to offend anyone.

If you are looking for a bomber jacket like the ones above, check out Zara or Weekday, they have some beautiful bomber jackets with colorful patterns.

I have always liked bomber jackets ( I have four of them ) and my favorite one is from Monki. I bought it a year ago so I do not know if it is still available but it is a gorgeous shiny & deep blue jacket.

I think that the new NARS lipstick looks gorgeous. I had a look on the website and it is available in 30 different shades.  NARS Audacious Lipstick ( £25.00 ). It is pricey and I will have to test it out next time I go shopping  but it looks promising.

I also added the picture on the right because I love a copper eyeshadow and big brows. It seems that the world has gone “crazy for the copper” since Kylie Jenner has released her palette but there are some better quality palettes out there.

Check out this MakeUp Revolution palette & KIKO eyeshadows. The two brands are cheaper and good cruelty-free alternatives.

The free hand cream was a miss.

I hated the smell and how greasy my hands felt after application. You do get a good amount of product and a little goes a long way but the smell was too strong for me. Too flowery.

I was curious and went on the website and whilst I did not like this product, I was impressed by their ethic.

As per the website, they are cruelty-free : “All of our skincare is certified by Cruelty-Free International, which guarantees it has not been tested on animals, and meets the Humane Cosmetics Standard for cosmetics, toiletries and personal care.”

Please check out their website if you have some time, especially this page : Ethics. You might learn a thing or two about fair trade. I know I did and I have the utmost respect for what they do.

London Fashion Week is over and the city is finally slowing down. I always love this time of the year because the streets get packed with stylish people, tourists and models and you never know who you are going to run into.

I have fallen in love with a few pieces from Monki & Weekday this month and I will probably go shopping this week-end.

I will let you know what I got !
